The article presented information that could easily fall into the category of common knowledge and/or common sense. There was no really new information. The recommendation of other articles and training was, of course, helpful and this made the article worth the reading. In all, it tended to discourage one. If the reader goes forward anyway, it would be in spite of the article and because of overwhelming desire and confidence.

While the book was well-formatted and well-written, it didn't really say much at all. The ideas offered were common sense. There was nothing new, inspiring, or informative. Considering the author's vast area of knowledge in this field, It was disappointing to learn so little. After reading it, I still had no clue how to start making a living as a freelance writer.
