New York
Expertise: Myspace
First things first, I feel that I should perhaps mention the fact that I am not young anymore. I'm not old - at least I don't consider myself to be old - but I'm definitely not young anymore. Young at heart maybe, but not young.

Not to belabor the point or anything but I felt that it needed mentioning in context with this book. There are many people who believe that things like MySpace are reserved only for the young. I can attest that this is definitely not the case.

The problem which arises though, at least in my case, was the fact that I knew absolutely nothing whatsoever about the internet and even less about computers.

So how did I, the technologically handicapped, come to be writing about something like MySpace?

At this point I should perhaps take a deep breath and cast my mind back to that fateful day when I had an epiphany and decided that I should write about MySpace.
However, the fact of the matter is that I am old, and small things such as an epiphany no longer have the power to hold my interest.
Therefore I find that I cannot cast my mind back, and that I can't remember what it was exactly which prompted to me start writing this book.
What matters now is not why I started this book, but the fact that I started it at all. It's not like I haven't written before in my life, because I have.

In fact my normal day job - of which I shall remain silent and from which I am now semi-retired - required of me that I write what amounts to long thesis-type documents at very frequent intervals.
This isn't a thesis however, nor is part of my normal day job. It's more along the lines of a labor of love, something that I can give back in return to my long-suffering but endlessly patient grandchildren.

There are quite a few menu choices in MySpace along the bottom of the dark blue menu. Lots of neat things to do there! For starters, you can click Blog and set up your own blog. Post to it regularly and others will read it, attracted by keywords they search for at MySpace. You can also search Groups and find all types of interesting groups.
